January 3, 2008 - Motorcycle Dealerships are bringing new bikes by the truckload! Show staff and exhibitors are all busy today building a great show for you. Exhibitors are moving in, filling all 7 halls of the SUPERSHOW with new 2008 models and used bikes too, with showbikes and vintage bikes, custom choppers and off-road bikes. Exhibitors are setting up their booths with all kinds of riding gear for sale, from chaps to race suits, helmets, gloves, boots, touring gear and all sort of accessories. Clubs, charity rides and racing organizations are setting up too; with information on events this summer. Come to the SUPERSHOW this weekend to see Everything in Motorcycling, opening at 10am Friday January 4th and running Saturday January 5th and Sunday Januauary 6th 2008.



January 1, 2008 - Live DVD Shoot for 'Bikes & Babes' DVD National Launch, all day Friday. Feature model Krista Santoro will be at the SUPERSHOW both Friday and Saturday signing autographs. The Production company will be filming live at the SUPERSHOW and editing on site while people watch on large LCD Screen. Visit Hall 5 to watch the action. DVD's will be for sale from Saturday on. December 29, 2007 – The Ride For Sight will kick off its 2008 Campaign and 30th Anniversary celebrations at SUPERSHOW 2008! Plans include distribution of Donor books and Special Show Prices on Ride For Sight clothing and gear. Video of the 2007 Ride will be shown in the booth as well. Be on hand Saturday, January 5th when the MAX Awards are presented to the top fundraisers of the 2007 Ride, on the Hall 2 stage, as well as to the Ride For Sight in honour of their 30 Year Anniversary. We at the SUPERSHOW remember when the very first Ride For Sight was launched at the 1978 Motorcycle SUPERSHOW at the Toronto International Centre 30 years ago.



December 27, 2007 - Motorcycle Mojo Magazine will launch their new publication, 'Collector's edition #1' of Canadian Custom Showcase at SUPERSHOW 2008. This new magazine focuses on the custom bike scene in Canada and according to editor, Glenn Roberts, "Canadian Custom Showcase will feature some of Canada's brightest stars of the custom motorcycle industry". Besides the launch of CCS, Mojo will have a large custom bike display in Hall 5 featuring some of those top builders' bikes. If you are used to seeing the Mojo team in Hall 3 please note that you can now find them in Hall 5. Stop by and say 'hi' and let them know what you think of Canadian Custom Showcase. December 20, 2007 - If you've seen the movie 'The World's Fastest Indian' (the promotional campaign launched at the SUPERSHOW back in 2005) you've got a bit of insight into what a Land Speed Motorcycle Racer is all about. SUPERSHOW 2008 is your chance to see one up close, in the Vintage & Classics Hall (Hall 4A) where it will be part of the 'Century of Motorcycles' display. Built by Bob Williams of Team Arrow racing this is a spectacular Honda-powered streamliner designed to race the Bonneville Salt Flats.

December 16, 2007 - SUPERSHOW 2008 and the International Centre has a whole new selection of food and beverage areas to serve you and keep you refreshed while visiting the Show. Touring & Cruisers Hall 2 features the Route 66 Diner, Vintage & Classic Bikes Hall 4A features the ACE Cafι, and Choppers & Custom Bikes Hall 5 features The Easyriders Saloon. All 3 restaurants are licensed. Throughout the Show there are 2 Snack Express locations, plus the International Centre's Market Cafι brewing Starbucks coffee. December 13, 2007 - International Motorcycle Magazine is the Official Show magazine that you receive as you go through the turnstiles at the SUPERSHOW! This issue will feature some of the finest writers with topics covering many disciplines of motorcycling. New to the issue is Max Burns, popular former columnist from Cycle Canada and author of numerous books also being featured at the Show, who will offer his take on Ontario's crazy traffic laws. You'll also read about the fabulous Grindhouse Chopper in an article by the bike's owner, Konstantine Zakzanis. There's a great travel story by Steve Bond, including a tour of Harley-Davidson's York, PA factory, and Canada's greatest international racer, Michelle Duff, writes about spending the summer in Europe once again racing with her competitors from the 1960s. There's lots more, too, and the magazine is free with admission, don't miss getting your copy of this 'keeper' issue. Only at the SUPERSHOW!



December 10, 2007 – It's Official! Easyriders, in conjunction with the SUPERSHOW, will be constructing a professional photography studio to shoot the best custom bikes of the Hall 5 Choppers & Custom Bike Showcase, over the three days of the Show. Easyriders photographer Michael Farabaugh and his crew will select, organize and photograph 10 bikes for upcoming issues of the world famous Easyriders and V-Twin Magazines. Michael tells us he will also be looking for some gorgeous women to add colour to a selection of his shots. This is a prestigious opportunity for SUPERSHOW 2008's competing showbikes and their builders to gain worldwide recognition. All this in addition to competing for the $50,000 cash & awards in the Canada Cup Championships and the top cash prize of $12,000 to the Best Bike in Show in the SUPERSHOW Showbike Competition.



December 5, 2007 - SUPERSHOW 2008 will feature more 2008 New Model motorcycles, trikes, scooters and manufactured customs than ever before in its 32 year history! Hall 3, the main Industry Showcase, will present an international line-up of the 2008 new models with 17 Manufacturers' brands represented from all over the world, while Hall 5, the Choppers & Custom Bike Hall, will feature 8 Manufacturers' brands of new model production custom bikes from North American Manufacturers, for a total of 25 Manufacturers' brands! December 4, 2007 - Prestige Auto Works will unveil a whole new concept in motorcycles with the launch of its Vertika conversion kit. This groundbreaking new design is to be sold as a kit that will convert any existing motorcycle into a three wheeler but with two wheels at the front. The entry level Vertika GS has everything you need to convert a two wheel motorcycle to a three-wheeler, the mid-level Vertika RX is a more aggressive version with special accessories, and the Vertika LX is a full blown touring kit with a myriad of options including air ride, power seats, etc that is bound to turn heads wherever you ride it. December 2, 2007 – SUPERSHOW 2008 exhibitor Suzuki of Newmarket will launch their new "Lease-a-Bike" program at the SUPERSHOW. Probably the first motorcycle dealer to offer such a program, you can get full details in their booth in Hall 3, featuring the full line of 2008 Suzuki's for sale – and for lease! – including the 2008 Hayabusa and its 'alter ego' the Suzuki B-King. Hall 3 offers you the best opportunity of the year to check out the 2008 motorcycles in one of the largest displays of the new bikes in Canada, and talk to the top dealers, all in one place! November 29, 2007 - A great collection of current motorcycle authors are appearing as special guests at SUPERSHOW 2008, for showgoers to meet and find out about their latest books. Author and journalist Max Burns will be in the VRRA booth in Hall 4 with his always popular books. Author Michelle Duff, also in Hall 4, will be on hand to sign copies of her books. In the GWRRA booth in Hall 1, author Don Norris will be signing his compelling book, Riding with Attitude. A special guest of the Friends of Veterans booth in Hall 5 is 84 year old Harry Watts who has written 'The Dispatch Rider' about his time in the Canadian army as a dispatch rider. So while it's snowing outside this winter you can be reading about motorcycles so be sure to pick up your copies of these great books at the SUPERSHOW!



November 26, 2007 – Good Things come in three's at the SUPERSHOW! The 2008 SUPERSHOW will feature no less than 3 Entertainment Stages, each having a dedicated Master of Ceremonies. Frank Wood will emcee the Joe Rocket Racers Stage in Hall 4 interviewing special guests and racers from all motorcycling disciplines, Pat Gonsalves will Emcee the Max Awards for Riders (Hall 2) and the MAX Awards for Racers (Hall 4) plus the big finale on Sunday with the Showbike Awards on the Canada Cup Championship Stage in Hall 5. The Hall 5 Stage also features live bands performing Friday and Saturday. New to the SUPERSHOW is Steve Jacobson who will be emceeing on the Hall 2 Touring & Cruisers Stage. Steve will be interviewing accomplished riders, special guests, touring product vendors, riding club and charity representatives. Check the on-site stage schedules for times.



November 21, 2007 - SUPERSHOW 2008's 'Fast Women' feature recognizes the impact that women are having on motorcycling and will be presenting Riders, Racers and Record Holders as Special Guests for SUPERSHOW attendees to meet and be inspired by. These are female motorcyclists who are quickly making a name for themselves in a sport that's long been dominated by men. You'll meet women who are ambassadors of the sport, long distance riders, instructors, test riders, authors, racers, vendors of specialty products for women motorcyclists, as well as women's riding clubs and even a female custom bike builder. Many of these remarkable women will be interviewed on the various stages throughout the Show and all will have displays where you can visit with them in person. November 18, 2007 - A Century of Motorcycles at SUPERSHOW 2008 – applications are rolling in for some spectacular vintage motorcycles to participate in this display, such as an all original 1914 Excelsior V-Twin, an extremely rare 1960's Triumph 350 double overhead cam, a 1972 Zundapp 125cc enduro, and a magnificently restored 1940 Indian 4-cylinder, to name a few. In all there will be 50 special motorcycles representing over 100 years of the Motorcycle, laid out as a timeline in this red carpet display which is the centerpiece of the Vintage & Classics Hall 4A, only at the SUPERSHOW! Last year's monumental display was a big hit with showgoers and they've asked to see a new presentation of the finest vintage bike display in Canada. November 13, 2007 – This News Bite will give you another reason to shop for your next motorcycle at SUPERSHOW 2008. There will be three Used Bike Market areas for you to shop for that bike! The general SUPERSHOW Used Bike Market will remain in Hall 3A, where last year saw over 140 bikes for sale by private individuals and dealers. New for 2008, Hall 4A will feature a Vintage and Classics Used Bike Market with some very collectible motorcycles as well as some very affordable bargains on late model classics. Also new for 2008, the Hall 5 Chopper & Custom Bike Market is expected to attract many spectacular previously owned customs. November 5, 2007 - SUPERSHOW 2008's latest addition to our 'Fast Women' feature is motorcycle land speed racer Trillium Muir, the World's Fastest Woman and a special guest in the Lucas Oils 'Performance and Racing' Hall 4. Trillium is the first woman to go over 200 mph on a motorcycle at Maxton, and the Fastest Woman in the World on a Motorcycle, after hitting 218 mph in March 2007. Sponsored by Nickel City Racing, Trillium is 27 years old, and rides a 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa 1300cc with 500+ hp and RCC ultra turbo kit. October 30, 2007 – A record number of Motorcycle Magazines will be exhibiting at SUPERSHOW 2008. To date the following publications will be represented: Revolution Motorcycle Mag, Motorcycle Mojo Magazine, Cycle Canada, ATV Trail Rider, Scooter Canada, Riders Mag, Inside Motorcycles, Inside MX, Performance Racing News, MX Performance, and French language magazines Moto Journal, Le Monde du VTT, Scooter – Un Monde a Decouvrir. October 25, 2007 – EXCLUSIVE to the SUPERSHOW! We have confirmed that Jesse James' 'Grindhouse Chopper' will be featured as part or our 'Living Legends' showcase in Hall 5. The Chopper is one of James' latest creations, custom made for Quentin Tarantino's feature film 'Grindhouse – Planet Terror', and now owned by Canadian collector, Konstantine Zakzanis. Konstantine will also bring a selection of his legendary builders' bikes to the SUPERSHOW and is a special guest in the Hall 5 Chopper & Custom Bike Showcase Hall 5. Future news bites will detail his exciting feature display.



October 19, 2007 – The Canadian International Motorcycle Heritage Museum Foundation that operates the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame has been named an Official National Charity of SUPERSHOW 2008, and shares this status along with Ride For Sight. The Heritage Museum and Hall of Fame is presenting a 10,000 square foot 'Red Carpet' display of Motorcycles in the Vintage & Classics Hall 4, and incorporating their Wall of Fame showcasing the 2007 Inductees. Peter Sheppard, President of the Canadian International Motorcycle Heritage Museum Foundation stated, "we are pleased to be an Official National Charity of the SUPERSHOW and we hope this will encourage donations to support our efforts". October 5, 2007 - The husband and wife exotic motorcycle chopper building team of Tommy and Julie Graves, of Jeffersonville, Vermont have added SUPERSHOW 2008 to their North American tour schedule and will compete in the Pro Builders' class Canada Cup Championships. Their most recent win, in a long line of first place wins all across the U.S. was a 1st place in the Metric Revolution Motorcycle Build-Off TV Series on ESPN2. This will be the first Canadian showing of "Smackdown", their latest radical creation that will have SUPERSHOW attendees doing double takes. Only at the SUPERSHOW!



October 1, 2007 – ProductionsGPL.com has once again been appointed the Official Custom Bike photographers of SUPERSHOW 2008 and will be set up in the Hall 5 Chopper & Custom Bike Showcase. Owner and photographer, Gaetan Plourde will present his 2008 "Belle et la Bete" calendar, copies of which will be on sale at the SUPERSHOW. Look for their display featuring a hot new custom from Alain Tourigny of Touring Creation in Quebec.

July 1, 2007 – J & P Cycles, of Anamosa Iowa, will once again sponsor the eye-popping Hall 5 Chopper & Custom Bike Showcase. The newest addition to the expanding SUPERSHOW square footage, Hall 5 was such a natural extension for the growing custom market that it took on a life of it’s own. June 1, 2007 – We're on a roll! The resounding success of SUPERSHOW 2007 and it's new 7-Hall themed layout were so well received that SUPERSHOW 2008 will continue this new format, with a few surprises now in the planning stages. The new wider aisles were much appreciated by all who attended. Exhibitors were also pleased with the new layout, with many booking even larger space for 2008 thanks to customers like you who made this your yearly motorcycle shopping trip. And why not. The SUPERSHOW has everything for motorcyclists, and the great show prices can't be beat.
