Museum RoadShow Summer Tour - DOCC Mosport Rally 2002The Ducati Owners Club of Canada held its annual Rally June 25th weekend which gave the Canadian Motorcycle Heritage Museum a great opportunity to show off some rare racing machines at the same time as giving our SUPERSHOW Racing staff members a chance to ride some special bikes on Mosport's world famous road course.This photo shows our paddock set up with numbers (below each bike) corresponding to the descriptions below. | |

1. Rueben McMurter's 1984 Honda VF750 Interceptor AMA Superbike. Sponsored by International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW, Rueben finished 3rd in the 1984 AMA Series on the HRC Specification Superbike. |
6. Museum Founder, Bar Hodgson's personal bike, the Ducati 955 SPA. One of only 50 bikes imported to North American to meet the AMA's homologation rules, this bike is loaded with factory go-fast goodies, and is an absolute joy to ride. |
2. SUPERSHOW Racing's 1977 Yamaha TZ750D. Once raced by Eric Buell, various SUPERSHOW staff, as well as select guest riders now race this legendary bike. |
7. For the 'Open' Monday of the Rally, this 1995 Honda RS250 was brought along for some 'shake down' sessions. Recently acquired from Canadian Grand Prix guru Ben Gartner, this bike was last raced by Canadian Pro 250 Champion Stuart Nodell. |
3. Jimmy Adamo's 1985 'Battle of the Twins' Ducati 1000, built by Ducati specialist Reno Leoni with all the best parts, Adamo won the 1987 BOTT Series and the Daytona Cup on this gorgeous machine. |
8. SUPERSHOW Race Manager Ken Livingstone's 1992 Ducati 851 Strada, complete with custom 'Tri-colour' paint scheme. |
4. The Museum's recently acquired rare Ducati 1989 851 SP1. These were the first 'sport production' specials designed to be the basis for customer racers. Built in extremely low numbers, this particular bike was previously owned by noted Canadian journalist and motorcycle enthusiast, George Jonas. |
9. 1993 Ducati 888 SPO Track bike ridden by SUPERSHOW V.P. Peter Derry and staff member David Hodgson. |
5. Giancarlo Falappa's 1991 World Superbike Ducati 926 Corsa. This Factory Works Racer is still an awesome machine loaded with ultra trick parts fashioned from magnesium, titanium and carbon fiber. This crowd pleaser was also raced in Canada by Pascal Picotte and Jeff Sneyd. |
