The Museum RoadShow visits the Toronto International Spring Motorcycle Show |
Our latest appearance at the Toronto Spring Motorcycle Show at the Toronto International Centre, April 13 & 14 was a great one for meeting new people and getting the word out about the goals and latest plans for the Museum and its travelling RoadShow.
The most recent addition to the collection, a 1948 Whizzer on a Roll Fast frame - just acquired from the Ross family of Nova Scotia - was the most talked about bike in the display. Watch for an upcoming feature story on this bike some time this year.
On loan from the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, the legendary 1930 Harley Hillclimber was once again displayed as we continue our Salute to America theme for 2002.Click here for the story on this wonderful piece of history.
A beautiful 1960 Harley-Davidson Panhead complete with period accessories takes centre stage in this shot, framed by #24, Rueben McMurter's 1983 VF750R Honda Superbike and #34, Wes Cooley's 1981 Suzuki Katana Superbike.
The Museum owes a great debt of thanks to the volunteers who donate their time to set up and staff the booth and answer questions during the show, help to take down the display and transport the bikes. Thanks to co-ordinator Dave Hall (shown here), Oliver Bertin, Ray Boileau, Roger Burtnik, Colin Longueduc, Digna Leda, Paul MacInnis, Steve Palmer, Mark Rawlings and Steve Sozenchuk.
