	April 21st 2001 - The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame

The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame, along with the MMIC, held a Celebration of Canadian Motorcycle Racing and Competition with the Who's Who of the Canadian Motorcycle Industry in attendance. The Canadian Motorcycle Heritage Museum has provided these 5 bikes in a feature display on extended loan to the Hall of Fame:

(foreground) 2-time Daytona winner (1941 & 1950) Canadian racing legend Billy Mathews' ultra-rare and intact 1950 Norton International Dirt Tracker complete with Mathews' Daytona Trophy on kind loan to the Museum from the Canadian Motorcycle Association (#74) 1977 Yamaha TZ750 ex-Eric Buell/Dave Schlosser and now raced in vintage events by Bar Hodgson (click here to read the 'Hodgson vs. Duhamel' article from International Motorcycle Magazine) (#99) Gary Goodfellow's 1987 Suzuki GSXR Limited Edition Team Suzuki Boutique Road Racer - consistantly only bested by Schwantz and Rainey in the British vs America Match Races as an invited Canadian Racer (#24) Rueben McMurter's 1983 VFR 750R HRC Factory Kit Road Racer - placed 6th at Daytona and 3rd overall in the AMA National Road Race Series (#1) the 1993 Kawasaki ZX-7R Factory Kit Superbike ridden by Steve Crevier to the 1993 Canadian National #1 plate, Michael Taylor to the 1994 Canadian National #1 plate and Jordan Szoke in his Superbike debut to the 1997 RACE #1 plate.
