2011 SUPERSHOW News UpdatesNew OCC Chopper arrives in time for SUPERSHOW 2011A New OCC Chopper that will be shown in an upcoming OCC episode will be on display in Hall 5 at the SUPERSHOW. Check out this gorgeous custom bike in the Headrush Booth right at the front of Hall 5.MAX Awards Winners AnnouncedThe SUPERSHOW's Motorcycle Awards of Excellence (MAX) winners have been announced. There will be 19 distinguished award recipients in the MAX Awards for Riders, taking place on the Hall 2 stage on Saturday, January 8th at 2pm, and 28 accomplished recipients in the MAX Awards for Racers, taking place Saturday, January 8th at 3pm on the Racers Stage in Hall 4. The honourees come from all disciplines of motorcycling and all have made a significant contributing to motorcycling in 2010. For a complete list of the MAX Awards winners click here or open the PDF. Both Awards presentations are open to the public attending the Show.GPS Seminars geared to on-road and off-road riding scheduled all 3 daysDaily GPS Seminars will take place at SUPERSHOW 2011 in the Corduroy Enduro Riders' booth in Hall 4. Hosted by experts Warren Thaxter and Keven Burnett, the illustrated seminars will be followed by a question and answer session. This is a great opportunity to learn more about using GPS specifically for motorcycle riding (on-road and off-road) and pre-planning. Scheduled times are 3pm on Friday, 4pm on Saturday, and 3pm on Sunday. In a recent move to implement a new judging system for its Level 3 Builders Class and Level 4 Pro Builders Class, the North American International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW has formed an alliance with the International Master Bike Builders Association (IMBBA) and is now an IMBBA sanctioned event. The IMBBA judging team will also judge the 'Special Awards'. There is over $50,000 in cash & awards up for grabs at SUPERSHOW 2011. Best Bike in Show takes home $12,000 in cash and the Canada Cup. And now with the credentials of the IMBBA judges, all professional and accredited members of an elite team, SUPERSHOW's Canada Cup Championships become one of the qualifying venues for the 2012 World Cup Championships in Laval, Quebec. Showbikes that are IMBBA members will also receive points towards certification.
