Vintage & Classics: Featuring a spectacular display of 50 motorcycles representing a 'Century of Motorcycles'

The Vintage and Classic Hall 4A features the very popular 'Century of Motorcycles' display. Fifty hand-picked motorcycles get the red carpet treatment as they represent the evolution of the motorcycle over the past 100 years. A new feature for 2009 is the Vintage and Classic Used Bike Market. Also in Hall 4A are vintage and marque clubs and individual showbikes, as well as vendors specializing in antique motorcycle parts and services. You can also spend some leisure time in the new ACE Cafe in Hall 4A where you can talk shop with other vintage bike enthusiasts.

Team Arrow Bonneville Land Speed Racer sponsored by the SUPERSHOW

SUPERSHOW 2009's Bonneville Tribute Display will feature the Team Arrow Streamliner, back from its high speed crash at the Bonneville Salt Flats (Utah) in August during Speed Week. It will be displayed with the bodywork off so you can see the inner workings of the turbo-charged Honda sleeved-down 490cc 16 Valve DOHC engine, and you'll also see what it's like inside the cockpit. Photo 'slideshows' and video footage will be shown throughout the weekend including footage of Bar's 180mph crash which ended his land-speed record attempt. Read the whole Bonneville story.

Streamliner owner and builder, Bob Williams and Team Arrow crew members will be at the Show to answer questions about the record attempt and talk about plans for Speed Week 2009. You'll also see Bar's Fast Eddie Nomax Race suit (salt and all).

Vintage Vincent and other classic motorcycles will be on display at the SUPERSHOW

A Century of Motorcycles

In all there will be 50 special motorcycles representing over 100 years of the Motorcycle, laid out as a timeline in this red carpet display which is the centerpiece of the Vintage & Classics Hall 4A, only at the SUPERSHOW! Last year's monumental display was a big hit with showgoers and they've asked to see a new presentation of the finest vintage bikes display in Canada.

Some of the spectacular vintage marques you'll see in this display include a 1914 Flying Merkel Board Tracker, a 1928 Harley-Davidson Model 'J', a 1942 BSA 350 M20, a 1954 Vincent Black Shadow Series 'C', a 1966 BMW R50/2, a 1969 Honda CB750, a 1979 Honda CBX and a 2005 MV Agusta Tamburini.

Original 1960 Gilera 175 Rossa Extra on display at the motorcycle show

See this beautiful original 1960 Gilera 175 Rossa Extra, with only 8873 kms. Gino Vona, the original and present owner, purchased this motorcycle new in January 1960 in Frosinone, Italy, and he's still riding it today.
