What a show! | |

Yes, it was a busy one! The 2008 Toronto International Spring Motorcycle Show opened to a record line up on Saturday, and also had a record number of motorcycles on the parking lot. It was a great way to get to the Show since the weather was perfect. Everyone was anxious to get into the motorcycle spirit and what better way to do that than to head out to the Show!

Lots of people saw the CanAm Spyder on Breakfast TV and came to the Show to check it out for themselves. Thanks to Mike at Snow City for riding the Spyder down to the CITY TV studios for the morning segment!

18-year-old inventor Benjamin Gulack was the centre of attention in Hall 2 with his prototype one-wheeled motorcycle called the UNO. Exhibiting with Motorcycle Enhancements, who did the bodywork on the UNO, this booth was a constant source of amazement as Showgoers tried to imagine riding this unique futuristic bike.

The On The Fringe Leather Fashion Shows entertained the crowds throughout the weekend on the Hall 2 stage, with the latest in riding gear and crowd pleasing leather fashions by Elaina.

This year's Show was a real shopping frenzy as motorcyclists brought their shopping lists with them and proceeded to seek out the best bargains on helmets, jackets, boots, gloves, motorcycle accessories, the latest gadgets and more... all in anticipation of a superb riding season. Ride safe everyone! And we'll see you all at the SUPERSHOW, January 2, 3, 4, 2009 at the Toronto International Centre.

Authors Michelle Duff and Max Burns were once again special guests of the Canadian Motorcycle Heritage Museum display in Hall 1, signing copies of their respective books and meeting their loyal readers.

The Spring Show Used Bike market saw a record number of Used Bikes for sale by private individuals, and there was a lot of activity in this area all weekend long. A great selection of bikes for all types of riders. Dealers also brought out their used inventory for Show attendees to get some real bargains.

32 Clubs & Associations exhibited at the 2009 Spring Motorcycle Show, promoting their Rides and Rallies for the upcoming riding season. The Durham CAPPY Ride, whose event is scheduled for July 26th 2008, won the award for Best Club Display in Show for their 'Helping Children in Need' display. Best Bike in Show and first place winner in the Pro Builders showbike competition was Frederic Vaillancourt's stunning custom named 'Punisher' built by the Rat Shop in St-Come, Quebec. The bike earned $3,500 for first place, plus a 6 foot trophy, and also won Special Awards for Best Plating and Best Bodywork.
