Outrageous Television Chef and Harley Rider, Biker Billy made his Canadian debut at SUPERSHOW 2003 to enthusiastic audiences and the Toronto Media. Before appearing at the SUPERSHOW, Billy took a trip to the CTV Studios on Friday morning to appear on Canada AM and cook up some spicy Breakfast Burritos.

His four fiery feature demonstrations on the new SUPERSHOW Cooking Stage in Hall 4 were a hit with the spectators who were brave enough to sample his hot dishes after each performance. As the by-line in his new cookbook, Biker Billy’s Freeway-O-Fire, says “Life’s too short to eat dull food”.

He would also choose two assistants from the audience to help with the preparation and cooking, and generally get involved with him and his one-liners to the delight of the audience. These were some brave people who either had a taste for hot food already or were certainly initiated in Billy’s trial by fire performance. Imagine having a complete chipotle pepper stuffed in your mouth or a huge tablespoon of garlic to swallow on a dare.

The results were worth it as Billy whipped up more Breakfast Burritos, Firecracker Salsa, Banshee Burgers with Smoky Chipotle Sauce, Pasta e Fagioli a La Biker, and Atomic Eggplant Submarine for the crowds. Also after each performance Billy stuck around to sign cookbooks, t-shirts and even aprons for his new Canadian fans. His cookbooks sold out before the end of his last show on Sunday. As Billy says, “Well, Allright!”.

Between performances there were interviews to be done with local newspapers and radio stations who picked up on his flamboyant personality and knowledge of all things hot and spicy. His picture ended up on the front page of the Toronto Star’s food section and in many other papers.

The SUPERSHOW was pleased to have Biker Billy as a Special Guest. Billy was impressed with the size of the Show and the camaraderie between everyone there. “I’ve ridden across Canada but I’d never been to the SUPERSHOW… it’s Huge! Everyone treated me really well and I had a great time”, Billy commented. We hope you got to meet this spicy food loving chef and motorcyclist. He was a blast!
