January 21, 2002
A record number of motorcycle enthusiasts descended on the Toronto International Centre January 4, 5, 6 to encounter all aspects of motorcycling that were on display at SUPERSHOW 2002, the Largest Motorcycle Show in North America. Attendance increased by 7,000 representing an increase of over 13% surpassing the previous attendance record of 53,000.
The North American International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW featured the first Canadian unveiling of the complete line of 2002 motorcycles & ATV's from the Motorcycle & Moped Industry Council (MMIC). The 2002 MMIC Motorcycle Manufacturers' official factory displays showcased BMW, Buell, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha Motorcycles and ATV's along with independent displays from Husaberg, Indian, Junior, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Titan and Victory Motorcycles. According to the MMIC Newsletter of January 2002, "The new year got off to a tremendous start with the Toronto motorcycle show setting another all time attendance record". "Dealers, aftermarket distributors, and the motorcycle manufacturers were in agreement that this year's show was even better that last year's highly successful show. Initial feedback from consumers was equally positive raving about the number, variety and quality of the displays at the show".
As SUPERSHOW 2002 was totally sold out, expansion plans are currently underway for SUPERSHOW 2003, January 3, 4, 5, at the Toronto International Centre. Increasing SUPERSHOW 2003 floor space will take the SUPERSHOW to a new level, satisfying exhibitors' expanding space needs and providing a much roomier atmosphere for all SUPERSHOW exhibitors and the ever-increasing motorcycle consumer audience.
Existing Halls 1 through 4A will be reorganized with much wider aisles, straightened flow patterns and new Feature Areas creating an airier, more spacious atmosphere".
As the SUPERSHOW enters its 27th year Bar Hodgson Productions is proud to provide the Canadian Motorcycle Industry with the greatest Motorcycle Show in North America; the Industry Show that is the largest, has been running the longest, has the greatest number of exhibitors, and delivers the largest motorcycle consumer audience… and that is why it is called the SUPERSHOW.
