The MAX Awards
The MAX Awards, Canada's Motorcycle Awards of Excellence, held on Saturday afternoon, honoured all our Canadian Racing Champions and various Ambassadors to Motorcycling in the 2001 motorcycle year.
In this photo, SUPERSHOW Producer Bar Hodgson presents the MAX Award in the Book Category to Sybil Rampen, author of a wonderful book called 'The Grannies' and to the book's photographer, Catherine Chatterton.
National Superbike Champion, Steve Crevier, accepts his MAX Award with his usual flair. Kevin Schwantz helped out by presenting the Awards for all the Canadian Champions including Motocross, Sidecar Racing, Vintage Road Racing, Arenacross, Speedway, Enduro, Trials, Cross Country, Hare Scrambles, Dirt Track, ATV Dirt Track, Ice Racing and Youth Motocross (accepted by Steve Crevier for 11 year old Champion Melissa Hackett from Chilliwack, BC), as well as for the Amateur Rookie of the Year and National Road Racing Rookie of the Year.
