Roll of Honour Program
Preamble:
The CMHFM Roll of Honour has been created to provide a facility and mechanism within the CMHFM structure, wherein members of the Canadian Motorcycle community could recognize, honour and remember family members, friends, individuals, clubs, dealers and other current or past members of the motorcycling community. No special requirements are necessary! It is simply an opportunity to remember in a very special way, those whom they deem worthy and deserving of such recognition.
The CMHFM Roll of Honour is complimentary to, and supportive of the CMHFM Induction Program. It is created and designed to ensure that not only is such a facility and opportunity available for the aforementioned groups, who may not necessarily qualify for Induction status; but also to ensure that our collective history and heritage is preserved and celebrated from the most inclusive and broadest possible perspective.
How it Will Work:
Anyone may submit a name for the CMHFM Roll of Honour. The only criteria being that the submitted name or names, are of parties who are now, or, who have in the past in some way been involved in a positive and constructive way in the Canadian motorcycling scene or community. Interested parties may simply request a form from the CMHFM and submit it. These forms, (perhaps incorporated into a promotional brochure), will be available at motorcycle consumer shows and other select motorcycle events such as races and rallies. They will also be requested to submit a brief biography of the candidate and at least one good photograph for the CMHFM archives. Other suitable materials, artifacts and memorabilia will be invited and welcomed.
CMHFM Role of Honour status members will be recognized by way of a durable name plaque, which will be permanently placed, on a CMHFM Roll of Honour Wall. This wall is envisioned as being portable in order to accommodate display at consumer shows and other select functions. Their names will also be listed in relevant and appropriate printed materials produced by the CMHFM. The CMHFM Roll of Honour Wall will also be an integral component of a permanent Museum when that stage is reached.
Program Funding:
Parties submitting a name or names for inclusion in the CMHFM Roll of Honour Program are requested to make a minimum donation of a base amount as established from time to time by the CMHFM governing Board, to cover the cost of the program. Donations in excess of the established minimum contributory amount will be invited and welcomed, and all funds will be directed soley and exclusively towards the promotion and growth of the CMHFM. Charitable receipts will be issued where applicable.
