The SUPERSHOW Collection of Historic Motorcycles in Canada

Over the past few decades Bar and Hedy Hodgson have assembled a vast collection of both street and racing, vintage and modern motorcycles that are significant to Canada. This has come to be known as the SUPERSHOW Collection and is on loan to the Canadian Motorcycle Heritage Museum. The range is extensive with the oldest bike, a 1917 Indian Power Plus and the newest bike, the 2002 Ducati 996 Testastretta. Most of the motorcycle producing countries of the world are represented. While the majority of bikes in the collection are road based the central focus is on noted Canadian Race Bikes, either built in Canada, raced in Canada or raced internationally by Canadians. In addition the SUPERSHOW Collection boasts possibly the largest motorcycle magazine collection in Canada and is used extensively as reference material. The Collection also has another impressive component comprises of motorcycle toys, memorabilia, clothing, trophies, pins, badges, decals, posters, photographs, stamps, models, and other motorcycle paraphernalia.

Through the Canadian Motorcycle Heritage Museum bikes from the SUPERSHOW Collection are often loaned to other Museums for display such as the AMA Hall of Fame Museum and the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame.

Over the coming year we will be featuring an extensive photographic presentation of bikes from the SUPERSHOW Collection assembled by country of origin as originally published in Motorcycle Mojo Magazine, author and photographer Glenn Roberts, reproduced here with kind permission.

The first in the series features the Bikes of Great Britain originally published in the Fall 2004 issue of Motorcycle Mojo Magazine.
